What's Your Schedule?

Everyone has 24 hours a day. The rich, the poor, the famous all have 24 hours in a day. Do you sleep 6, 7, 8, or 9 hours? Let's say you sleep 7. 24 hours minus 7 hours of sleep means you have 17 hours left. Do you work full-time, 8 hours a day? Then you have 9 hours left. What about commuting time? I read somewhere that the average American commutes a little less than 30 minutes. Yeah, we're going to say one hour, both ways for those who may live in metropolitan cities. So, 9 hours minutes 2 hours commuting to and from work means you have 7 hours. Seven hours to do whatever you want to do with your life! Maybe you need an hour in the morning to get up, wake up, and get prepared for the day. If you need an hour in the morning, this means you have 6 hours left in your day. Do you cook in the evenings or eat dinner with your family? Maybe you spend two hours of quality time with your family or pet. You now have four hours. Perhaps it takes you 30 minutes every night to wind down and get ready for tomorrow and get ready for bed. Let's give yourself an extra 30 minutes for a total of one hour to prepare and pamper yourself. You still have three hours to take care of your mental and physical health AND maybe work a side hustle, read a book, learn a new skill, or enjoy that hobby you've always wanted.

Where are your three hours? Are your three hours spent chasing the social media rabbit hole? Are you watching endless TV shows and movies? Video games? Happy hours? Are you doing things that aren't making you happy, healthy, or wealthy?

Stop and take inventory today of how and what you're spending your time on. Determine if you're doing what you want to do in life to achieve your goals and dreams.
